  • ips4_thumbnailSize (Gallery only)

This cookie tracks what type of table layout to use in Gallery listings (list view, small thumbnails or large thumbnails)

Be aware that third party addons may set cookies as well, and that third party services integrated with the Suite (such as Google Analytics or Facebook Logins) may also set their own cookies.

Hello @goldtrbl, that's because the game is not configured yet, you need to open the Preferences to do so.

this is what my settings look like, do i need to change something? do i need to add a custom folder?

@goldtrbl Everything seems fine!

Custom folders are for merged files, where you keep the original files.

this app must not work for me because it is still showing that searching for custom content is unavailable 😞

Open the Sims4TrayImporter>App Report and see if there is any error.

But I am aware that there is un bug in the current version that prevents to save the changes made in Preferences. 😞

Meanwhile open Finder then go to /Users/<yourname>/Library/Application Support/com.teameevo.sims4trayimporter/.

There should be 3 files:

_preferences.ini <- store your preferences

Sims4.GameInfos.Journal.txt <- log startup info

Sims4.GameInfos.Settings.xml <- store your settings and is used to load the game

The last one is important since it's the one that will be used to setup your game on startup.

You can try to fix them or send them to me.

@goldtrbl Since InstallDir doesn't exists, try to change the path in Preferences.

Have you installed the game in /Applications or /Users/<username>/Applications?

If it the changes are not saved, you can manually edit the files shown in my previous post or send them to me.

i went into the document Sims4.GameInfos.Journal.txt and changed the installdir to Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/ since that's where my game is located but that didn't change anything. my game is working it's just my game has been acting really slow and freezing up a lot lately due to me needing to clean out the custom content that doesn't work and the content i don't need anymore

@goldtrbl Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4 is your save folder.

The game folder should be located somewhere else, default are:

/Applications/The Sims 4.app

~/Applications/The Sims 4.app

Journal? Do you mean Settings? Journal is just a startup log. 🤔

@clementinekruczynski have you tried to setup the app by opening the it Preferences?

The bug is not from the OS but from S4TI.

InstallDir should point to where The Sims 4.app is installed.

The easiest way to fix the issue is to move the game in Applications until I fix it.

i did mean journal because thats the only file out of the 3 in the application support folder that i can edit. when i click the settings file it just takes me to a link, i will include in this post. the sims is not in the actual application folder but it is in my dashboard with all the other applications i have on my computer. if everything in my settings is how it's supposed to be then i'm really not sure what could be wrong. maybe it just isnt working for me for some strange reason

Both files are just text files. You can open them in a text editor by right-clicking then selecting Open With.

The path may not be the current location of the game, if something goes wrong it will fallback to default location.

@clementinekruczynski there is actually two Applications folders, one is global and the other is in your user profile.

I suggest you both wait for the fix.
