• ips4_hasJS

This cookie is set by javascript and then later read to determine if javascript is supported in the user agent.

 • ips4_ipsTimezone

This cookie is set by javascript to detect the user's local time zone so that the software can adapt the displaying of times automatically.

 • ips4_IPSSessionFront

This is a session tracking cookie, used to track the user between page clicks.

 • ips4_member_id

This cookie would contain the user's member ID, used to "remember" the user in case their session ends between visits.

 • ips4_pass_hash

This cookie would contain a hash used to validate that the viewing user's member ID was not forged (it is not the actual password hash).

 • ips4_cms_filters (Pages only)

This cookie would track filters set by a user when filtering content in the Pages application.

 • ips4_ipsApprovalQueueSplash (Moderators only)

This cookie would track that a user has acknowledged the splash screen in the Moderator CP so that it is not shown again.

 • ips4_language (Guests only)

This cookie is used to track a language preference for a guest if the site has more than one language installed and the guest user chooses a specific language to use.

 • ips4_anon_login

This cookie is used to track a user's anonymous login preference if they choose this option during the login process.

 • ips4_theme (Guests only)

This cookie is used to track a theme preference for a guest if the site has more than one theme installed and the guest user chooses a specific theme to use.

 • ips4_ipbforumpass_XXX

When a forum has a specific password set, this cookie is set once a user logs in to that forum to validate that they have logged in on subsequent page loads.

 • ips4_thumbnailSize (Gallery only)

This cookie tracks what type of table layout to use in Gallery listings (list view, small thumbnails or large thumbnails)

Be aware that third party addons may set cookies as well, and that third party services integrated with the Suite (such as Google Analytics or Facebook Logins) may also set their own cookies.

Sims 4 Tray Importer Config Game won't go away!

Recommended Posts

The game should be located in your /Applications folder by default.

Else to locate your game:

Open Origin

Click Origin > Application Settings

Select INSTALLS & SAVES

Look for Game library location

From S4TI, open Preferences, click the InstallDir drop down then select "..." and go to the location found in Origin then select The Sims 4.app

Hello @kiraxo,

You'll find the debug option on the taskbar, Sims4TrayImporter>Debug.

The most commun causes of this problem is that you have not selected the proper App or selected the wrong language.

Both language and path must match else it won't be able to locate the required files and the config box will popup again on next launch.

If you have a Wine version that could be a problem since not all versions are compatible due to different setups.

Hi! im having the same issue of not being able to configure the tray importer. i cant find a debug window, but i tried to go into origin and see if changing the location of my game would help, but everything is grayed out. i installed the mono and the importer file but when i open the tray importer to configure, it keeps telling me it needs to restart and then does the same thing over again. please help! :)

It will keep doing so until you correctly specify the path.

Maybe because they are apps and not folders? ^^

what do i do from here??

You must navigate to the Sims 4 app then select it. (not the one in Documents)

Where is the game installed?

also, how would i change it to folders instead of apps?

Use the left pane. But this only works for Origin, S4TI require Apps.

i think its installed on origin bc thats how i get to my game

Do you have a MacBook? 🤔

If so try ~/Applications/The Sims 4.app or /Users/<yourname>/Applications/The Sims 4.app in the InstallDir field.

it already says /Applications/The Sims 4.app

Don't forget the '~'. 😉

/Applications is accessible to all users

~/Applications is only accessible by you

@Lara Fogel yep it's faster this way! ^^

Try to navigate to ~/Applications using Finder and see if you can find The Sims 4.app in this one, but based on your Origin settings it should do the trick. 😉

@dnielley, the InstallDir is pointing to S4TI itself, while it should be "The Sims 4.app".

If you can't find the game at /Applications/The Sims 4.app try ~/Applications/The Sims 4.app.

Else you'll need to open Origin to locate your game: https://luniversims.com/forums/topic/7092-sims-4-tray-importer-config-game-wont-go-away/?do=findComment&comment=114456
