Thanks! I renamed the file in applications as "Sims4TrayImporter.app" and used chmod +x /Applications/Sims4TrayImporter.app/Contents/MacOS/Sims4TrayImporter

Hello whenever I try to open the app it says "The application “Sims4TrayImporter” can’t be opened." so I tried to open it with the terminal command (chmod +x  /Applications/Sims4TrayImporter/Contents/MacOS/Sims4TrayImporter) and in the terminal it says "No such file or directory." I deleted the whole thing the tried again multiple times, I have a MacBook Air 2015 running on macOS Catalina 10.15.4

I have downloaded the latest version of sims 4 tray import for Mac also the latest version of the mono framework. I placed both in the applications folder and installed the mono framework . When I try opening sims 4 tray import a pop up comes up saying "The application “Sims4TrayImporter” can’t be opened."

I downloaded both programs, however I never got a ZIP file in my downloads, and now it doesn't work for me. Can anyone help?

If it doesn't end with .app, double-click to extract the archive. By default, Finder is configured to hide common file extensions.

I tried the option below and keep getting a faulty notification telling me the application has not been found.

Sorry I'm not a Mac user, so I need the exact error message or a screenshot.

Open applications, find the app and right click. When you right click, click on show package contents. Then click on the MacOS folder. Keep this tab open!! Next you’ll want to open terminal and type chmod +x

 

Don’t press ENTER! After typing the above you’ll want to press space and then drag the file that’s in the macOS folder to terminal. When you do that you can finally press enter and the app should open in seconds.

 

If you need clarification, then let me know. This is the only thing that worked for me.

When I try to extract the file (TS4I) it keeps on saying error as if its unable to unzip the file, is there a reason why its doing this for is there a zip application that will zip the files?

Extracting the files seem to work just fine, at least on Windows.

What is the error?
Do you use the default archiver on Mac?
